Getting back to Canada

Well, I’m finally coming back to Canada. Right now I’m in São Paulo airport waiting the flight to Toronto. As soon as I organize my new apartment and settle down I will get back writing in Portuguese. I will only keep writing in English if someone ask me…

I hope you all enjoyed while I was trying to write in another language… and if someone want’s to know more about Brazil, I would be glad to answer all questions.

See ya

One year of my graduation

Last year on the 22nd I was going on a stage to be graduated in advertising by UNISINOS University.

It was a unique moment, and quite unforgettable. We did a big party after the graduation…

The only other thing that I have to say is that I’m felling old, because I’m already graduated for a year! I have some pics, take a look 🙂

What a style :p

Helping

Today I have a little story to tell 🙂

In the hotel that we stayed in, there where no employee that knew how to speak english…. as Salvador it’s one of the most visited places in Brazil… often english speakers drop by. So one night we were in the computer area and we saw a couple walking around and speaking low, just for them. Carol, said to me: “I think they don’t speak portuguese” They were really blond and REALLY white! So when we were going back to our room we heard them speaking english.

My girlfriend said: “I think they need help” and so we approached them.

The couple where from north England; they were hungry, didn’t know a word in portuguese and couldn’t find food. They arrived at night in Salvador downtown (sort of dangerous neighborhood to walk if you don’t know anything)

We end up helping them to order some chinese food, we called for them and ordered in portuguese and everything. It was fun to speak English with people after almost 3 months 🙂

Fun fact: they booked the hotel typing what they wanted in GOOGLE TRANSLATE in the check-in computer lol.

Have fun with this picture 🙂

Me with fake african hair :p

Itaparica Island

The trip is getting better with the time been. This time we went to ITAPARICA Island, it’s a island 30 min from Bahia’s capital Salvador in a small boat.

It was a sort of adventure, because one hotel guy, a native from the island, asked if we he could go with us and show everything. So we accepted and we did everything as native from the island… not with the fancy boats and cars that most tourists use.

After we got the 30 min boat we arrived here:

Itaparica port

After that we got into a 50 years old VW-Kombi … look the inside… it was quite an experience :p

It was intense 30 minutes inside this “car”

But all these was worth while when we arrived and saw this:

This is the kind of beach that don’t have any waves and it’s warm. The afternoon was perfect and we had a good time… We also had some nice views that I’m gonna share with you.

As you know, we are good soccer players ANYWHERE, lol.

Well there is a lot to show, so take a look in the slideshow below.
